Welcome to PIBT.  You have made a great choice to study in Perth.  There are a few things you need to know before commmencing your studies. 

If you haven't done so already, then visit the Life @ PIBT page. It will link you to sites where you can meet students, get the latest news from PIBT and watch some of our videos.

It is also advisable that you check out the Pre-Departure information, including a video to help you settle into life in Perth.

Academic Students

You need to make sure you arrive in Perth in time for the PIBT Orientation. PIBT Orientation is a fun way to enrol in your course, meet new students and get the information and assistance you need to help in your transition to study at PIBT.

What happens at Orientation?

- Select and enrol in courses and create a timetable
- Obtain your program information
- Create your student ID card
- Obtain information and details about your Overseas Student health Cover (OSHC)
- Be introduced to a range of PIBT services and facilities
- Purchase your textbooks
- Tour the campus and library
- Meet your Student Leader and new friends before commencing your studies
- Meet the friendly PIBT staff
 
Please note: Attendance at orientation is compulsory for all new students. The next orientation is in February 2010.

English Language Students

You need to make sure you arrive in Perth in time for the PIBT Orientation. Your orientation will welcome you to PIBT and Perth, plus it will also provide an opportunity for you to meet new friends. You will also be required to take a written assessment test to place you in the appropriate class for your studies. 

What happens at Orientation?

- An official welcome by the Director of Studies
- A written assessment test
- Campus tour of our facilities and classrooms
- Information on shopping, banking, postal and public transport facilities
- Information session on living and studying in Australia
- Internet and library access assistance
