Writing Writing Den provides practice in reading and writing skills. It is divided into three levels of difficulty: words, sentences and paragraphs. The words section aims to help students increase their vocabulary as well as improve pronunciation - students can click and listen to 'words' being pronounced. The 'sentences' section focuses on reading comprehension and there is also an option to listen to the passage. The final section shows how to organise and edit your writing. This contains useful information on how to improve your writing focusing on how to write grammatically correct sentences and cohesive paragraphs as well as looking at organising essays. Examines a variety of genres including reports, essays, formal and informal letters. There are a variety of interactive exercises which provide writing practice. This site consists of a variety of amazing images with short essays which are sent in by site visitors. Site visitors also have the option of leaving comments on the images. The site could provide a stimulus for language learners to write about their own photographs, with the possibility of submitting it to the site. Blogs have become a widespread phenomenon allowing people from all walks of life to write on any topic they desire. This website enables people to create their own blog site for free. |
